Frequently Asked Questions

  • Yes, this product is suitable for use during pregnancy. Consult your health practitioner if you have any concerns.

  • Niacinamide can be used morning or night - we recommend applying as your first step in your morning or evening skincare routine.

  • Yes, niacinamide can be used everyday. Some people may experience a flare or purge when first introducing niacinamide to their routine. We recommend staying consistent and your skin's barrier will naturally repair and become stable with regular use. If you aren't able to have persistent use and/or niacinamide is irritating the skin too much, you can withhold use completely or introduce at a slower pace.

  • Niacinamide (aka Vitamin B3) is a true multitasker in skincare. It helps evens kin tone, boost hydration, reduce pore appearance, sooth redness and inflammation, strengthens skin barrier as well as anti-ageing benefits.

  • Vitamin B3 is the umbrella term for two forms:

    1. Niacin (nicotinic acid)
    2. Niacinamide (nicotinamide)

In skincare, niacinamide is the form of Vitamin B3 that's used—it’s stable, non-irritating, and delivers all the glow-boosting, skin-loving benefits. So while all niacinamide is Vitamin B3, not all Vitamin B3 is niacinamide.

  • Niacinamide is generally very well-tolerated—even by sensitive or acne-prone skin—but in some cases, yes, it can cause breakouts or purging, especially when: you're using a high concentration, your skin is adjusting (aka purging), it's reacting with other actives or may be the formula not the niacinamide within the formula.
